Learning in the Age of AI
Midlife learning isn’t “go back to school.” It’s “come back to yourself.”
This 5-part series is your on-ramp to staying employable, adaptable, and
human in a world shaped by AI — without burning out or losing yourself.
Each part includes a short lesson, a reflection you can actually feel,
and a tiny habit to practice in real life.
Complete all five parts + short reflections to unlock your Midlife College
micro-certificate in Learning in the Age of AI

Part 1
How to Think Like a Learner Again
Curiosity is not cute. It’s survival. Mave walks you through rebuilding
the “learner’s mindset” — how to un-defend your ego, invite challenge,
and build a weekly rhythm of growth you can actually maintain.
Core idea: You don’t have to know everything. You have to be able to learn
anything, again and again.
You’ll practice:
  • Curiosity over certainty
  • Feedback without defensiveness
  • Friday reflection habit (15 min)

Part 2
The Science of Reinvention
Reinvention feels scary because your brain treats change like a threat.
We talk about neuroplasticity, momentum, and how to build progress in
25-minute blocks instead of trying to “fix your whole life this weekend.”
This module makes “start over at 35, 42, 57” feel like a skill — not a crisis.
You’ll build:
  • Your personal Learning Log
  • A 30-day skill sprint plan
  • Energy guardrails to avoid burnout

Part 3
The Future of Work & Your Rewired Brain
Work is shifting from “do the task” to “design the system.” We look at
attention, empathy, and co-intelligence — how humans and AI work together
without letting the machine drive your values.
You learn how to protect deep focus and redesign meetings like a grownup,
not a hostage.
You’ll try:
  • 90-minute “maker blocks”
  • Role maps for AI-assisted meetings
  • Weekly “sense-making hour”

Part 4
Ethics of Attention 🎯
Screens don’t just take your time — they rent your nervous system.
This one is about consent, humane focus design, and how to get your
attention back so you can actually study, parent, sleep, create.
Your focus is not free. You choose where it goes.
You’ll do:
  • 10-minute “consent audit” on your apps
  • One 25+5 Focus Sprint
  • 3Rs Ethical Focus Tracker log

Part 5
Humanity at Scale
You can learn alone. But you evolve in community. Part 5 gives you the
“Mini Learning Pod” model — 3 to 5 people, rotating roles, compassion
as infrastructure. This is how we scale care instead of scaling noise.
This is where your credential clicks: proof you can learn in public,
with integrity.
You’ll submit:
  • Your Pod Plan (who, when, why)
  • A 60–90 sec reflection
  • Quick quiz (pass ≥80%)

How You Earn the Certificate
This isn’t busywork. It’s proof-of-practice. When you finish all five
parts of Learning in the Age of AI you unlock the
Midlife College micro-certificate and a Credly badge you can show on
LinkedIn.
Completion Checklist
  • Watch each short lesson (or read the transcript)
  • Do the tiny habit / log for that part
  • Answer a short reflection (text or audio)
  • Score ≥80% on the quick quiz
Your badge signals: adaptive learning skills, ethical AI awareness,
and that you can work in a small learning pod with care and trust.
Yes, you can put it on LinkedIn.
